AC/DC In Talks To Play Serbia This Spring

January 14, 2009

According to B92, Anglo-Australian rockers AC/DC are in talks to perform in Belgrade, Serbia in late May or early June

The group's official site still does not mention a date for Belgrade, but a visible gap exists between May 24 and June 12.

According to the Komuna production house, a final agreement with the band has been signed, while the venue looks likely to be Partizan FC's Humska stadium, as the construction of a tunnel for bringing in all the equipment at Red Star's Marakana stadium is considered to be too demanding a project.

Komuna proposed the Hippodrome or Ušce as potential venues, but AC/DC's management, who visited Belgrade in December, said that the band insisted on stadium gigs.
